At left, another guitarist that utilized a Dan Armstrong guitar is Poison Ivy. Seen here in a see-through top holding a see-through Dan Armstrong · Ampeg guitar. Unfortunately her Dan Armstrong Plexi was stolen back in her early days with the Cramps.

Born Kristy Marlana Wallace, she first met her future singer (and husband) Lux Interior (Erick Lee Purkhiser) in college. After a brief stay in Lux’s hometown they moved to New York City and formed the punk band called the Cramps. Moving to LA by the 80's they kept audiences entertained with her playing bass at times until 2009.

At right, and while not a Dan Armstrong · Ampeg guitar, Poison Ivy is seen playing a customized version of what was... according to Dan... the inspiration for the aforementioned guitar - the Danelectro Longhorn guitar.
